This workshop will both provide faculty with Environmental
and Sustainability resources via MDC's
libraries, and provide faculty with methods of more
efficient web searching toward the fulfillment of Learning
Outcomes#4 Formulate strategies to locate, evaluate, and
apply information.# 5 Create strategies that can be used to
fulfill personal, civic, and social responsibilities.#6
Demonstrate knowledge of ethical thinking and its
application to issues in society.#10 Describe how natural
systems function and recognize the impact of humans on the
environment.
Upon completion of this workshop or seminar, participants
will be able to: easily find
current and historical information and resources on
sustainability from Library databases, library loans, and
little-known web sites. search the web more efficiently for
desired resources. incorporate Learning Outcomes 4, 5, 6, &
10 into their teaching as relates to sustainability
Faculty will submit lesson plans and/or assignments to the
facilitator within two weeks of the workshop,
demonstrating the specific incorporation of sustainability
resources from MDC databases and/or proof of strategic web
searching as relates to sustainability materials.
